Patch contributor zapped for copying

Derek Reeve, a councilman in San Juan Capistrano, has been accused by the Patch, owned by AOL and the Huffington Post, of copying material presented to Patch. Reeve's rejoinder was of interest:

“This was a blog worthy of Facebook, not a formal article, yet now the editor has the chutzpa to compare this to a student's thesis, which is like comparing apples to gorillas."

One notes that Reeve apparently lost his job at Concordia University in Irvine while Glenn Poshard who did copy material in his Ph.D. thesis without attribution is still at Southern Illinois University (SIU).
